Well, this weekend I'll be resawing some of my private stock of Tasmanian Black Acacia and Nicaraguan Cocobolo. I may also get to some Honduran Rosewood and lightly flamed Honduran Mahogany. Why am I saying this? Because I'm going to be clearing out some of this inventory and making them available for sale. I'll be temporarily joining the list of paid Sponsors of the OLF so that I can advertise my wares here.
No, don't start all emailing me yet about buying stuff!
I haven't decided if or how much BRW I will be selling. (Tim, Brock, Lance...) I'll also have a bunch of my private supply of redwood tops up for sale, some killer ziricote fretboards, and oodles of other stuff.
Why am I doing this?   Frankly, since I'm slowing down my building, I need to eliminate some of my inventory that I will never use. I also want to get rid of some debt that I have. No, I'm not giving the stuff away either! The pricing will be market value based on advice from other sellers. But I have to warn you...some will be extremely tempting and nice. Particularly the Black Acacia, loaded with color and amazing flame...oh, and also some sapwood with the coolest black streaks in it from a fungus in Tasmania...and some lucky person will have a chance to buy a set of my precious Flamed Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle. Eat your hearts out...

Here's a tentative list of the woods I'll be peddling, in limited quantities:

Nicaraguan cocobolo - perfectly quartered, beautiful grain.
Redwood...stuff I wouldn't sell before because I wanted to hoard it to myself.
Ziricote - one set, Jumbo sized...glassiest tone I've ever heard.
Black Acacia - some of my private stash stuff
Pommelle Sapele - Jumbo sized, medium figure
Sapele - ribbon grain - Jumbo sized...
Quilted Maple - medium to low quilt, but nice and wide - jumbo.
Honduran Rosewood - really really nice...
Honduran Mohogany - lightly flamed, or ribbon grain
Beeswing Bubinga - jumbo size
Claro Walnut - figured, maybe. Not sure if I'm selling it!
There may be some Brazilian fretboards, bridge blanks, headplates, bridge patches, and possibly a couple actual guitar sets.

Hold on to your hats !

Don

I don't suppose that you'd ship the BRW sets downunder?

I don't know where I'm gonna get me any of that...I've asked a few local dealers, and I'm getting tired of having people laugh in my face - though, you'd think I'd be used to it by now.

Your black acacia is way better than any I've seen down here, and I live here! Care to divulge your sources?

I might take you up on the redwood tho. Gotta get me some of that...

Steve,

Lucky? Not at all... I would be keeping most of this but the reality is that it cost me way too much initially. A lesson in self control is what this really is. Bought too much. Got in debt.
I'm still keeping enough for 50 guitars. After that I'd better hit the lottery so I can buy all your BRW.
YOU'RE the lucky dog! ! ! !
